Free Notary Services at Bank of America

I am refinancing a home and needed to get a few closing documents notarized. The notary at my work charges $5.00 per page, which can really add up, so I started searching for some free notary options. After doing a Google search I found a few free options like the local library, city hall, credit unions, banks, and the police station of all places. The most convenient option for me was my bank so I walked over to the branch to talk to the manager. It turns out that Bank of America offers free notary services to account holders! They even allow you to make an appointment to have your documents notarized.

How To Get Documents Notarized for Free at Bank of America

To make an appointment just log into your Bank of America account and click on the “Make an Appointment” link below the Activity Center section on the right side of the page. After that simply select purpose (I indicated it was to see a banker), select a time, and confirm your appointment. It was very easy!

Bottom Line

Checking with your local bank branch office is a great way to get free notary services if you need them. It sure beats places like The UPS Store that will charge you $5.00 per document.

This is unfortunately untrue. Bank of America branch at Huntington beach did not have the notary that they advertised and the one on Moutlton Parkway had a rude man who said he could only notarize Bank of America documents, though I am a Bank of America customer.
